If a Tree Falls In the Woods...

If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around, does it make a sound?
Have you ever asked or been asked that question? I've always thought that was the dumbest question in the world. Yet for some reason, it is a question that has been asked for years and years. But I want to ask a question...

If a person sins and no one is around, do they really sin?
That also seems like a dumb question as well, but is it? By nature, we tend to think it's ok as long as we don't get caught. As long as the roaming eyes of those around us don't see, everything is ok. But is that really the way it is? Sure no one saw, our reputation isn't ruined, we don't look any different to anyone else, or do we? Even though everyone else may not see, God does. And you can be sure that your sins will find you out! Don't take my word for it...

Numbers 32:33 - ... You may be sure that your sin will find you out.See God is always watching, and He's the one that really matters to begin with anyway. At the end of the day it doesn't matter how many people you were able to slip past, you can never pull a fast one on God.

He Knows Everything! - Psalm 139:1-4 1O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. 2You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familier with all my ways. 4Before a word is on my tongue you know it completly O Lord.

Yep, it's true, He knows everything! That scripture says he searches us and that He knows us. He even sees when we sit and stand, and even knows our thoughts. That thought that just went through your mind, God heard it. He is familier with all of our ways. Isn't that something, ALL of our ways. Even the ways that no one else sees, God does. Even before you speak God knows what you are about to say.

So I ask again, If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around, does it make a sound? If a person sins and no one is around, do they really sin? Just remember that you can fool those around you, but you can never fool God. His word says that he looks at all of our ways. So when you are making your decisions today and it seems that only you know, don't forget that He is watching!

I think that the tree does make a sound!

Have Integrity,

Brandon
